As the continent has no indigenous population, this excludes the permanent leadership of a nation, a number of countries participating in its management.

In 1959 he signed the Antarctic Treaty, a legal instrument that regulates activities in the white continent. It was initially signed by 12 nations. The agreement’s aim is to recognize that the future of Antarctica is of interest to all mankind. This will avoid conflicts and is intended for research territory like a natural laboratory.

The signatories undertook to ensure the ecosystem and to refrain from economic exploitation. The treaty was ratified last indefinitely and in 1991.

In regard to Antarctic tourism center on South Shetland Islands and the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, for its accessibility, spectacular scenery, abundant wildlife and the presence of numerous scientific basis.

Antarctic tourism is governed by the treaty mentioned above. Tour operators need to implement and enforce established rules: as notify your trip to Antarctica, and ensure that tourists do not act against the treaty.

Most trips to Antarctica are carried by sea from Ushuaia, connected by air to Buenos Aires and other cities.

There are two ways to travel, sail and cruise. The latter made tours from 7 to 12 days are usually polar vessels, scientific or passenger ships and luxury cruise course as well. Some companies will include visits to the Falkland Islands, scene of the war between Argentina and Britain. There are expected to visit landing sites of wildlife interest or scientific bases of various countries.

In the case of sailboats, it’s trips for adventure lovers and candles. It is used steel-hulled sailboats. The expeditions last between 4 and 6 days, passing through the Drake Passage that separates Tierra del Fuego to the Antarctic and the tour depends on the prevailing climate.

Fishing is a sport (and some say an art) that can also take a few days, or just a weekend to pass on the bank of a river or a boat in the middle of a spectacular landscape between the lakes and mountains, and can connect with yourself.

There are thousands of sites around the world to go fishing and enjoy a time of incredible scenery. Here are five destinations approach:

Patagonia
Argentina and Chilean Patagonia offers fishing expectations unusual in the world, coupled with a spectacular setting for the variety and beauty of its landscapes. In all his courses and lakes can be found the four wild salmon species most sought by sport fishermen from around the world: Rainbow trout, brown, brook trout and landlocked salmon. Planted in the early twentieth century, these four species adapted and flourished in this context, reaching a population density and weight that far exceeds that of their places of origin.

Patagonia is considered one of the last havens of existing fisheries, since the variety and weight of the catch is excellent. All streams are well populated with wild trout, greedy and combative. It is usual to be fishing in a lake and have no other fisherman in sight … what is the dream of many. Given that it is easily accessible areas, this represents the ideal for any fisherman. There are regulations for fishing, with many exclusive places for fly fishing.

Both lakes and in rivers there are extensive beaches to the coast fishing, almost all are open access, both in National Parks and beyond. However, it should seek advice or have a qualified guide to access the best fishing according to the age and fishing conditions at the time. The climatic conditions in these sites are usually good.

Mexican coast
Mazatlan is an excellent place to enjoy fame recognized sport fishing due to the large variety of fish found in its waters. Among them can name the red snapper, grouper, the mountains and the sea bass, as well as sailfish and blue marlin, black and striped, often in the area offshore. The port of Mazatlan is home to the Sport Fishing Tournament Bisbee Billfish Classic, with fleet’s sports that offer their services to tourists for fishing for large fish.

In the rest of the coast there are several options for merging with excellent fishing vacation relaxation. Depending on what you are looking for every traveler, it is certain that some part of the Mexican coast offer the ideal place for sport fishing.

Rivers in Spain
Asturias is a paradise for fishermen. Its rivers, crystal clear, continuous small jumps and falls, each year attract thousands of people who test their patience and their art with the cane with the aim of taking-if only-with a salmon. And fishing is that you live with a very special excitement in this area.

In mid-March fishing season starts, that this region is an event for lovers of the sport. Asturian Rivers, located in northern Spain, are a must when talking about the salmon, which is in its natural habitat special waters. With the arrival of spring open season and the fishermen and their poles are part of the everyday landscape of rivers. Its strong currents clean channels are the ideal setting for practicing the art of fishing. Many of them pass through deep valleys, ravines and gorges sandwiched between. Navia Rivers such as the Sella, Cares, Narcea, the Nalón, the Esva or EO, among others, with its jumps and transparent oxygenated waters are rich in salmon, trout and inmates, although not the only species.

Fishing in Peru
In Peru, no shortage of tuna, sea bass, flounder, croaker, cheetahs, groupers and even the black marlin, which was captured the world’s largest specimen. The great writer Ernest Hemingway was a frequent visitor to the Peruvian sea, whose large fish and fishing boats inspired him to write his famous novel “The Old Man and the Sea.”

Fishermen can rely on Peru as synonymous with adventure and, above all, for good fishing. In Peru, the fishery is considered one of the most important activities, the variety and richness of the Peruvian sea. The fisherman always sure to find an ideal beach for the type of fishing you want to practice: rocks and cliffs, sandy beaches, cold waters rich in plankton and warm currents transparent. Everything is made for good fishing.

Colombia
The huge fish diversity promotes the sport in Colombia. In the Gulf of Tribugá-on the Pacific coast, you can experience the thrill of fishing for marlin. Humboltd current makes this place a paradise for fishing. From the beach or by boat you can catch variety of species such as Yellowtail, Dorado, Sailfish, grouper, Grouper, Snapper, Tuna, and Sierras.

Between April and June is the migration of the sardine called “agallona” and behind it creates a frenzy of all species feeding and giving the opportunity for a fishing experience to everyone. In the Caribbean you will find very good copies of snappers and groupers. In lakes and rivers of the interior get big catfish, and enjoys trout fishing tournaments.

The Argentine northwest us closer to our ancient culture, the indigenous, the folklore, although the roots and mine are in Italy, I still identify more with the NOA to the Piedmont countryside. Maybe it’s the passing of so many heroes in these lands, so many years of culture, cities with much history, strong traditions and conservative societies. We have been traveling 2 days ago from Buenos Aires. I crossed the warm Santiago del Estero and did night in San Miguel de Tucuman, we began to move into what will be the Calchaquies Valley, the road is very winding and very thick vegetation. We climb to reach 2000 mts. The landscape is changing significantly, we went from a lush forest, where stands the Monument to the Indian sculptor Calchaquí Tucuman Enrique Prat Gay, clear and colorful meadows. The first stop we made in the Moll, a small village on the south bank of the La Angostura dam where we found the Archaeological Reserve The Menhires. There are hundreds of these exponents of culture stone Tafi, each worked with different expressions and sizes.

The Mollar: ancient stone structures
Crossing the dam we’re almost to Tafi del Valle, our home for a few days, we settled in the cottage we rented and went out to enjoy this beautiful summer village. The climate of this region is a special guest, as it remains stable and pleasant throughout the year.

Sunset in Tafi del Valle
Missing a few days for The National Cheese Festival, held each February in Tafi, so we can see and taste the typical food Pascanas selling as locro humitas, homemade sausages and desserts like sweet cayote, alfajores of Capio and Of course, the famous cheese tafinisto.

Locro: impossible to pass through this region without enjoyment
We take a tour of the picturesque town center and the exhibition of Tafi, where excel, and throughout the Northwest, the crafts of the area.

A ride through the landscapes that surround the area guided by a Vaqueano, it is imperative to discover the natural surroundings. At night there is always some pain, to share and enjoy music and the typical food of this region. The next day we visited the Jesuit Museum of Banda, where there is a museum, historical, archaeological and religious art, the richness of its heritage and the building is one of the largest in the NOA.

Stay In The rooms are the only cheese that is still producing the original recipe left by the Jesuits in the seventeenth century. As a farewell to this town that energized us and dazzled us with its landscapes, in the afternoon, we went to the Angostura dam, where you can enjoy water sports and relax with a breathtaking sunset. The next morning we journey to the Calchaquies Valley and stopped at La Bourse, an archaeological site, which contains the presence of indigenous architectural expressions, made of stone, built between 300 BC and 800 of the current era. We’re almost to Amaicha Valley to continue to the ruins of Quilmes and Cafayate in Salta, but that is another trip .

After 10 years I decided to return to Chapelco, but this time, I accompanied my family, my wife, my 2 sons and my 2 old, quite an adventure. I think a lot more dangerous than any off-piste. I found a San Martin de los Andes grown, full of shops, lodgings of all kinds and places to eat. But without losing the charm of city girl, like a mountain village, full of comfort.

Knowing that prices would be high and also everything that involves travel and expenses on the hill, I loaded it with provisions before leaving, I made sure the week at the hut and was covered in advance and tried not to think too much in silver, because I would not enjoy these well-deserved vacation. Go with the boys meant a blanket of care, mostly through the Hill, snow and my wife was not going to stop any move to the cold side. Clarification, my kids are 4 and 1 year but to my surprise that she was more relaxed and we enjoyed everyone equally.

The first day on the Hill, where is all a mess, we slid on ice on the rise with the car, that “girls are my boots,” that “very cold”, that “I can not walk with these teams “Auxilioooo !!! By the noon we were a little more organized, eating a hamburger, something highlighted in the price, (but I said I would not make trouble for the money) in a mountain hut that looked like a story.

Chapelco
I was amazed as my little boy of 4 years adapted so quickly to ski, down the tracks as if he had years of practice. My parents helped us with the care of the smallest and skiing with my wife we relaxed, enjoying the wonderful scenery provided by the Chapelco with the Lanin Volcano in the background and those hardwood trees that line the tracks.

Lanin National Park entrance
We take a few days to visit the area, went to Junin de los Andes, where we noticed the renewed church, with a whole Mapuche iconography carved wooden decorations, like a church shared by 2 religions (the Mapuche and the Christian ), following the road around Lake Huechulafquen skirt to reach the base of Lanin Volcano. An amazing trip, but I think these broad meadows and forests would have enjoyed more in the summer. Another departure we did was visit a Mapuche community in vantage point Bandurrias, where we took some friends who live in San Martin, a very quiet place on Lake Lacar, almost untouched as we could make a burned roast vegetables on the grill and a Patagonian rib for an unforgettable evening.

Ending the week I went to buy chocolates and candy classics to bring a gift to those who remained in Buenos Aires, and eventually we prepare for a return laaaarga and family car.
