“Slogans” In Tourism

The tourism industry has not been exempt from the blow of the crisis, being affected worldwide and having had to take numerous steps. Examples of these measures are preparing tenders, downsizing, seasonal closure of hotels and many others. However, different ministries or institutions in charge of tourism have sharpened their wits to get the air campaigns that remain etched in the minds of tourists, thus creating “tourist brands. These phrases and slogans are intended to capture the attention of tourists quickly, attracting the interest of this, but while leaving the plot of wanting to know more about the destination.
Many are the slogans that have emerged, but here we will present a small sample of slogans of the Central American countries and beyond.
Costa Rica
This powerful Central American destination tourism brand has been taken as the motto “No Artificial Ingredients. This clever slogan reflects the image so impeccable that Costa Rica has always offered the world picture of sustainability, natural wonders, peace and ecology. This phrase known instantaneously capture the interest of the traveler, as well as providing the image of eco-desired destination is a phrase that we see daily in our lives. In addition, the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) is working on a clever promotional campaign, which aims to put Costa Rica on decals hand dryers in bars and restaurants in the city of New York at inviting to escape the cold and come to feel the warmth of Costa Rica.
Panama
Panama in recent years enhanced by an exceptional tourist administration, led by the famous singer and actor Rubén Blades, has suffered a complete tourism boom. Nicaragua
This beautiful country is located in the tourist development and is a potential competitor for the area. This theme is identified with the combination between nature, culture and traditions that still offers Nicaragua. Honduras
“Everything is here,” the Honduran slogan speaks for itself. Honduras has exploited its tourism product very well, knowing combine its beautiful beaches, lush nature and of course his Mayan heritage. Guatemala
This country is home to one of the richest cultures Mesoamerican history, could not choose a slogan that best represents your identity, “Adventure in the Mayan world.” This country has some interesting artistic wonders of the Mayan world, represented by its greatest exponent Tikal (greatest city of ancient Maya empire) and the Spanish colonial era, represented by the city of Granada, one of the best preserved colonial cities in Latin America. In addition to all this cultural richness, Guatemala also has magnificent beaches and beautiful nature, all accompanied by a lot of adventure and fun.
El Salvador
This small but interesting country has chosen the slogan, “El Salvador … Impressive”. The country has sought to demonstrate this motto despite their small size, there is a wonderful world to discover, we can find from the majestic volcanoes and beaches, to pyramids of ancient Mayan world.
Belize
This little gem of nature and the only ex – English colony in the area, has a natural heritage hardly comparable in such a small territory. Half the area of Belize is covered by tropical rainforest, giving home to one of the best preserved communities on the continent of jaguars. Belize is also recognized worldwide for its magnificent coral reef, a favorite destination of scuba divers worldwide. Therefore, the entity in charge of tourism in the small country has chosen to use the clever phrase “Mother Nature’s best kept secret” or “best kept secret of Mother Nature.” All this natural charm combined with a picturesque English colonial-style architecture.
Mexico
Our neighbors to the north and established tourist destination offer us the phrase “Vive Mexico. The tourist knows that Mexico offers a varied product and unique character that needs no introduction because it enjoys worldwide fame.
Colombia
Finally, we wanted to recover, in our opinion, one of the most ingenious tourist slogans.
Our South American competitor, has an exceptional natural and cultural assets, besides being the only country in South America with coasts to both oceans. However, Colombia has enjoyed sometimes infamous for its insecurity, but thanks to effective government and quality this problem has been addressed and improved. Because of this Colombian tourist brand is under the motto “Colombia, the risk is wanting to stay.” This creative slogan explains that now the only risk you run the tourist in Colombia, is to be enchanted by its beauty and not wanting to go home.
These slogans are just a small sample of the ingenuity used to promote tourist destinations, reflecting the essence of a place in just a few words. Any place more beautiful and attractive for possessing, require always a team to convey that image to all those travelers throughout the world who are hungry to discover new and exciting destinations.
