The city filled with parks, museums, buildings and an extensive collection of architectural monuments, one dares to say that the city, with more than two thousand years of culture, is the cultural capital of the country.

Situated on the Mediterranean coast, Barcelona has always had importance as a port. In recent years, its importance has increased since it was proclaimed global city.

One of the most famous of Barcelona is undoubtedly the expiatory temple of the Holy Family. La Sagrada Familia was begun on April 19, 1882, from the idea of Francisco de Paula del Villar, but at the end of 1883 was commissioned Antoni Gaudí who design and construction. Today, 126 years later, the Sagrada Familia is still not finished, yet it is the most recognized symbol of the city, famous for its unique architecture and symbolism present in all the sculptures and building facades.

Another of Gaudi’s masterpieces was the Park Güell. Built between 1900 and 1914, was opened in 1922. He is known for its architectural elements with religious symbolism and geometric themes. This park is, since 1984, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Mount Tibidabo, the highest point of the city, is a place worth visiting. At 512 meters tall, the mountain offers great views of the city. The first amusement park in Spain, the Tibidabo Amusement Park, built in 1899, also is located there, and makes available to smaller ones like the older ones an opportunity for family fun in an outdoor environment. Outside the park is the funicular and tram, connecting the mountain with the rest of the city.

Mount Montjuic is another tourist place one must visit if you have the chance. Located in the southwest of the city, there is the Palace of Montjuic and the National Museum of Catalan Art. The Poble Espanyol was a microcosm originally created to represent Spain in Catalonia during the International Exposition of 1929, but this fusion of architecture and craftworks of Spain is still a major attraction of the place.

One of the key moments in the history of the city was the 1992 Olympic Games. And it was built the Olympic Village in Poble Nou. Nearby is the Olympic Port Olympic yl’Anella, sports stadiums that were built or upgraded specifically for the Olympics. For sports fans, not just this part of the city they’ll be interested, but also one of the most important stages, the Montjuic Olympic Stadium, the site of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Barcelona. The Palau Sant Jordi and the famous Nou Camp is place to visit for those who relish the sport.

For lovers of theater, the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, opened in 1996, is a magical place. Its two rooms, the great classical amphitheater as to ensure greater visibility and small, mobile galleries to accommodate the different scenarios, like workshops, provide greater interaction with the actors.

This ancient city dating back nearly two millennia ago is a real city with the essence of Gothic Germany.

Even the poet Petrarch in the fourteenth century, thought that this city noted for its breathtaking beauty. Cologne is a city that is famous for its great cathedral, the famous Cologne Cathedral, one of the oldest and most impressive in Europe. The cathedral, with two domes, is one of the major attractions of the city and climb to the top, one will have to climb the 509 steps up to the gallery, which is over 170 meters above the ground, and the structure built by the world’s tallest man. It took more than 600 years to build the cathedral, or Duomo, begun to be built on Roman ruins after Frederick Barbarossa donate the supposed relics of the Three Kings. This made the city became, before the twelfth century, a major center of pilgrimage in the region. Moreover, even today you can still see the relics, found near the altar of the Cathedral of Cologne.

Beside the famous cathedral is the impressive Germany-Roman Museum, a building that was a hiding place for civilians during the air battles of World War II. During this time discovered perfectly preserved remains of an ancient Roman mosaic still remains and can be viewed at the museum.

Nearby, in the center and the historic city center, two museums are more futuristic and contemporary art, Wallraf-Richartz Museum and the Museum Ludwig. The Wallraf-Richartz Museum we can find a wide and interesting collection of art from the XIV and XX, while in the Ludwig Museum we can find the most exclusive art of the twentieth century, which almost rivals the legendary Guggenheim Museum New York. In both museums you can see exclusive works of the best artists and painters, as well as several permanent and temporary exhibitions of different styles.

One of the best hotels in the city is also located in this magical area of the city center. The Dom Hotel is an architectural monument in itself because it is almost attached to the cathedral. Here one can enjoy a luxurious and comfortable stay, as to the decor reminds us that we are part of the world. We recommend visiting the famous and elegant coffee Atelier am Dom, a café glass walls covered with the best views of the cathedral and the famous Petersglocke, the huge 24 ton bell that marks the hours while you enjoy the views.

The city is famous for its beer, Kölsch, sold in all restaurants and markets in the city. In addition, the city has a broad cultural landscape, which highlights its many museums and concert halls. Cologne is a city also known for its Carnival which starts every November 11 at 11:11 hours. In the evening, a stroll through the city and Hohenzollern Bridge is a magnificent bridge over the Rhine River which decorates the edges.

Its green landscape and its proximity to the sea make a picturesque region full of natural attractions and history. Here are the Chronicles of Narnia shot and is shooting part of the latest Harry Potter.

The region is located on the coast, enters the regions of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. The region was founded in 1138, and almost from the beginning to split into two parts, the English-speaking south and the north side, more traditional. The imaginary line that separates them is called Landsker. This created a curious mix of cultures and influences.

The most popular are Tenby and Saundersfoot. Tenby is a fishing town with walls and dating from the thirteenth century. Tenby is situated in Carmarthen Bay. The city is a popular tourist destination due to its 4 miles of beaches. Among its tourist attractions are Arches Gate Five, a historic building, or the church of St. Mary, the fifteenth century. They further point out the many museums and art galleries. When the tide is low, you can visit the Santa Catalina Island, but if you want to surf, you can visit Caldey Island, a popular destination for a day trip.

St. David’s is a small town, possibly the best known of the region. The city on the River Alyn, is the ecclesiastical capital of Wales. Here are the remains of St. David, the patron of the region. The city is the only city in the country that is located within a national park. St. David’s is built around the Cathedral of St. David, and during medieval times was a place that attracted pilgrims. Near the Cathedral is the Bishop’s Palace, dating from the fourteenth century. Nearby is the Cambrian cliff, a place where many come to kayaking or to enjoy the wonderful views. The city is known for the comprehensive range of water sport that offers its visitors.

Highlight the many castles in the area. Formerly many of the castles were used as defenses and military strengths, but later became residence of dukes and earls. One of the most beautiful castles is the Castle Cresswell, Cresswell riverside. Another castle that stands out is Haverfordwest Castle, a thirteenth century castle, formerly a fortress. Llawhaden Castle is another castle typical of this area of Wales.

The highest point of the region is Foel Cwmcerwyn, the Preseli hills. The mountain is located in the National Park Pembrokeshire Coast. This national park is the only country that is located on the coast. Several coves, bays and lakes adorn the coast of the region and attract tourists. Walk highlights the Pembrokeshire Coast, where both tourists and locals enjoy the views surrounded by nature.

Yakutsk is a city located in Siberia, Russia, and is considered one of the coldest cities in the world. The small city with 200,000 inhabitants is the capital of the Sakha Republic and the largest city in the region. The city is a mix of cultures, home to both the descendants of Russians from the west, which came to the region to work in the mines of gold and diamonds, and the Yakut, who for years were nomadic. The city can reach -55 º C, although the locals are accustomed to such frigid temperatures.

The city, founded in 1632, initially was a strong Cossack. He later became a prominent city where, in the nineteenth century, were discovered gold and diamond mines. Now here are many companies engaged in mining of these two materials.

The city even today is a mixture of traditional cultures. While many traditions were lost during the years before perestroika, the Evenki and Yakut still form an important part of the population. The Yakut Turkic peoples from northern and central Eurasia, and have historically been devoted to hunting, fishing and reindeer herding and horses. Today you can see traditional houses, or yurts, in nearby towns. Several of them preserve the tradition of olonkho, a traditional form of writing and reciting poetry on the life of the people of Sakha. Another trend is important are the ewenki, another nomadic people who lived in cuoluozi, large tents. Even today they are representatives of these peoples, traditionally engaged in raising horses.

In this city you can recognize the descendants of nomadic hunters and reindeer that once roamed the icy region each year. Most people wear fur coats, and there a topic as controversial as the hunting of animals for their fur clothing is not a problematic issue, because wearing fur here is not a luxury but a necessity.

The city is connected with other towns along the road Lena, but getting there should take the ferry along the river in summer or cross the frozen river in winter. Many people visit this region when excursions to Lake Baikal. Therefore, both Yakutsk and the wider region attract many eco-tourists and scientists. It recommends visiting the nearby town of Magan, a traditional village where even today preserves the traditions typical of Yakut, such as reindeer husbandry.

Yakutsk has a few theaters and museums. Highlights include the Museum of the Mammoth and museums devoted to history and culture of the Sakha region. Another famous site is the theater of Sakha, or Sakha, who now has a new building located in one of the most important squares, the Plaza Oyuunsky. It is worth visiting the Spassky Monastery, which dates from 1664.

Another landmark of the city is Kulakovsky Street, one of the main streets. Yakutsk University hosts the Academy of Sciences of Russia, and has one of the major centers of study cosmofísica and permafrost.

For the cold steppes of this part of Siberia can still find ancient towers of the fortresses. There is Several Ostrog dating from 1683. The Lensky Ostrog, or strong Lensky, who later became the city, was founded in 1632.

Yakutsk is without doubt one of the coldest cities on Earth, where the average temperature of -10 º C. slashing During the long winter months, the city reaches -50 degrees C, although during the short summer months the temperature may surprise more than 30 º C.

The Lena River, which runs from the city, attracts many tourists during the summer months. Several cruise ships pass through the city, and tourists can enjoy the beauty of Siberian nature. The best views can be enjoyed near the Lena Pillars. The pillars are a rock formation that taper along the side of the river Lena.

Many are still used as a summer home, while others have become museums or tourist attractions. Some of these castles are not only famous for its architectural beauty, if not known by the mysterious legends of ghosts who dwell within its walls.

Arundel is a small town in West Sussex in the UK. This city is known for its narrow cobblestone streets, its traditional market and Arundel Castle.

The stately old castle dates back to 1068, and was built by King William the Conqueror. The castle now had a fortress on the River Arun.

Arundel Castle has undergone major changes over the years. For example, in the year 1132, during the visit of the Empress Matilda, it was built a new wing to the castle to accommodate the Empress and her servants. Centuries later, in 1846, the castle was honored with the presence of Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert. Parts of the rooms were renovated for the royal visit, the pictures were changed, and the royal apartments are furnished with Victorian furniture. The apartments have been changed since your visit and now it known as “The Victorian Room.”

To enter the castle, there are four different types of entries, the entry bronze, silver entry, the entry of gold and gold plus input. With each entry will allow access to different sites in the castle, chapel, gardens or rooms. According to legend, it is said that the Earl of Arundel, who originally built the castle, still wandering the keep. Another ghost that keeps walking through the halls in the light of the moon is the ghost of a girl dressed in white jumped from a tower after the death of her boyfriend. The mysterious spirits of the Blue Man often meet people in the library. It is said that this ghost has lived in the castle from the 1630s. Many times, residents and visitors have seen a young boy working in the kitchen. Staff also said he saw a mysterious man who walks the halls, but who disappears when approaching. Also note that if you find a bird like an owl flying near the windows, means that one of the occupants of the castle will die soon.

The small village of Pluckley is situated in the district of Ashford in Kent. It is said that this town is the most haunted town across the country. It is said to live in this town about thirteen or fourteen ghosts. Among the spirits is Robert Du Bois, who died when a spear stuck in a tree, and who is still there, although the tree is gone. About Monte Maltman many people have seen a coach with horses. In this village there are the spirits of a Roma woman who was burned, a dark ghost of a miller in an old mill, and a troubled ghost who cries to get close to where the bricks were made. They are also the bodies of a schoolteacher hanging on a street and a colonel in Park Wood. The village of Pluckley also has two lovers, the Lady of Rose Court, who ate poisoned fruit, and her lover, Monk Phantom of Greystones. In the cemetery of the Church of St. Nicholas is the ghost of the White Lady Dering, who was buried in a sarcophagus tombs and seven oak, and her ancestor, Lady Red, who also still appears in this cemetery, along with a third unidentified ghost. Without doubt the most charming town is the Screaming Woods, a forest full of spirits of those who were lost in the woods, and whose cries are still heard. In this village, is also buried Sir Edward Dering, a famous British politician.

Another enchanted castle is Chillingham Castle, a medieval castle by the year 1298 was a monastery. Originally, the castles were on the border between two warring states, England and Scotland. The most famous ghost of the castle was the Blue Boy, who used to appear with a radiant halo in the room rose, levitated above the bed. However, when a wall collapsed in the room they found two bodies, and the ghost disappeared. It is also said that this castle live John Sage, a torturer, and Lady Mary Berkeley, a lady who lived in this castle.

Warwick Castle, which, as its name suggests, is located in the city of Warwick, is an ancient castle with a tower on the river Avon. Watergate Tower is generally known as the Haunted Tower. It is said that sometimes appears the spirit of Sir Fulke Greville and his servant, who was murdered in 1628. According to legend, the ghost of the late Sir Greville appears from your picture above the fireplace.
