La Gran Sabana and Canaima National Park are excellent environments to perform certain of those disciplines that make us up to the maximum adrenaline, but of course, everything must be organized by people who have the ability and permissions to perform some of these disciplines. Santa Elena de Uairen qualified staff for some of these activities also in the region and there have been several important events Skydiving, national Valid Motocross, Bike Skills with outstanding athletes in these disciplines. Also conducted kayaking and rafting, to name some of the emotions that can be done in the area. Living at the maximum is very important to some people, feeling like you live in a sea of adrenaline-filled life and gives a different meaning to your emotions can be very good, but always to be taken necessary security measures and always do in places suitable for this purpose and under the supervision of professionals, but this sort corny and trite, is a reality, when we do things at random or improvised, there is always regrettable mistakes.

In the Gran Sabana, Ivan, which is part of our team, made some personal activities and groups in the area, particularly he enjoys certain activities such as rafting and body rafting, I enjoy taking pictures and videos all this with grounded, well sometimes I am encouraged by an activity, but then I realize I am better where this thing a little more quiet, I imagine it will be something chemical in our brain that makes see things somewhat different, but are intense adventure full of excitement and beauty, provided this is done with the proper equipment and under controlled conditions.

You may make cycling tours are also very interesting, specific routes with beautiful views, in addition to good exercise and really breathe clean air in Santa Elena, there are several tourist companies that do this or some of the activities mentioned in this article, contact any of them, remember they are listed in the directory of companies in the region in the left menu.

Moreover we must remember that there are places where you can not perform these activities without a permit, so you do not arbitrarily decide this kind of adventure, contact the companies that have all the information, and will know where allowed and where no.

An adventure that takes place in the area and that is exciting is to pass behind a jump in the river Yuruani near the iron bridge. is a large waterfall not very tall, maybe about 8 feet or so, this creates a jump tunes after the fall of water, there can be traversed from side to side of the river, always with the necessary implements for such activity, such as helmets and personal life jacket you know what you are doing. It’s a good energizing activity, interesting and lets us feel the power with which the water breaks through the savanna, also feel that somehow we integrate intimately in the midst of nature, resulting in a nice feeling and unique because it is not the same see the leap from outside to be beneath him, just behind the waterfall. Also in the Kama jump is possible to go behind the huge jump of 55 meters, in a native canoe which charges a modest fee for this spectacular emotion, the only bad thing is that not always is there to provide service.

Also among other things we can enjoy the breathtaking aerial helicopter service hiring in Santa Elena de Uairen there Cap. Raul Arias, or Chap. Ben Williams have that service, an experience I will never forget, because I assure you that something is watching from land and another very different perspective is viewed from the sky and fly over the various jumps, Orinoco river, or meandering rivers on coarse linen almost endless, to take a broader view of these extraordinary lands.

In Fin in the Gran Sabana is a sea of possibilities to live a beautiful experience, but always considering our liability in all cases, we also always be aware not to damage the vegetation or contaminate the sites we visited, so it will last, so we can always enjoy ourselves, our children and future generations.

Argentina is a country that offers options for vacation in winter you can go north to escape the cold, you can visit some thermal water to improve your health or you can enjoy an exclusive sport, and unfortunately accessible to a few, like Ski or Snowboard is (for those over wavelength). After 10 years I decided to return to Chapelco, but this time, I accompanied my family, my wife, my 2 sons and my 2 old, quite an adventure. I think a lot more dangerous than any off-piste. I found a San Martin de los Andes grown, full of shops, lodgings of all kinds and places to eat. But without losing the charm of city girl, like a mountain village, full of comfort.

Knowing that prices would be high and also everything that involves travel and expenses on the hill, I loaded it with provisions before leaving, I made sure the week at the hut and was covered in advance and tried not to think too much in silver, because I would not enjoy these well-deserved vacation. Go with the boys meant a blanket of care, mostly through the Hill, snow and my wife was not going to stop any move to the cold side. Clarification, my kids are 4 and 1 year but to my surprise that she was more relaxed and we enjoyed everyone equally.

The first day on the Hill, where is all a mess, we slid on ice on the rise with the car, that “girls are my boots,” that “very cold”, that “I can not walk with these teams “Auxilioooo !!! By the noon we were a little more organized, eating a hamburger, something highlighted in the price, (but I said I would not make trouble for the money) in a mountain hut that looked like a story.

Chapelco
I was amazed as my little boy of 4 years adapted so quickly to ski, down the tracks as if he had years of practice. My parents helped us with the care of the smallest and skiing with my wife we relaxed, enjoying the wonderful scenery provided by the Chapelco with the Lanin Volcano in the background and those hardwood trees that line the tracks.

Lanin National Park entrance
We take a few days to visit the area, went to Junin de los Andes, where we noticed the renewed church, with a whole Mapuche iconography carved wooden decorations, like a church shared by 2 religions (the Mapuche and the Christian ), following the road around Lake Huechulafquen skirt to reach the base of Lanin Volcano. An amazing trip, but I think these broad meadows and forests would have enjoyed more in the summer. Another departure we did was visit a Mapuche community in vantage point Bandurrias, where we took some friends who live in San Martin, a very quiet place on Lake Lacar, almost untouched as we could make a burned roast vegetables on the grill and a Patagonian rib for an unforgettable evening.

Ending the week I went to buy chocolates and candy classics to bring a gift to those who remained in Buenos Aires, and eventually we prepare for a return laaaarga and family car.
